Blizzard just announced the next chapter for Heroes of the Storm with a major upcoming release that they are calling Heroes of the Storm 2.0.

Improved progression, an overhauled reward system with Loot Chests, and a huge variety of new cosmetic and social items to unlock are just a taste of some of the content coming with Heroes 2.0.
