Beginning Wednesday at 05:01 am GMT, The Elder Scrolls Online will launch an extended Free Play Weekend on Xbox One, running through the weekend until 28th November. With the recent launch of One Tamriel introducing worldwide level-scaling, this is a perfect opportunity for Xbox One ESO veterans to introduce their friends and family to Tamriel and play together over the weekend – no “alts” required.

The Xbox One Free Play Weekend will begin at 05:01 am GMT Wednesday, 23 November and will end at 04:59am GMT on Monday, 28 November.

As always, there is no subscription required to play The Elder Scrolls Online. Players simply need to download the game, create an account, and begin their adventures in Tamriel. The Free Play Weekend will include:

• No Restrictions: Access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game
• Free Crowns: 500 Crowns to spend in the Crown Store on fun costumes, unique pets, helpful scrolls, and more
• Progress Retention: Any characters created, Crown Packs purchased, or Crown Store items bought, as well as any progress made during the Free Play Weekend, will carry over if the player purchases the game

All Versions of The Elder Scrolls Online, Crowns On Sale
In celebration of the Free Play Weekend on Xbox One, Bethesda will offer discounts through 28 November on Crown Packs as well as all versions of the game. The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game will be discounted for several hours prior to and following the Free Play Weekend (during Free Play Weekend, Tamriel Unlimited will not be available for sale). The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Edition, which includes all four major DLC game packs: Imperial City, Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood, will be discounted throughout the Free Play Weekend.

How to Get into the Free Play Weekend

Xbox One players should navigate to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the Xbox Live Store to download the game starting at 05:01 am GMT Wednesday. Once the game is downloaded and players have created an account, they can login and play immediately.

Grab a friend for the weekend and head out into Tamriel!
